DESCRIPTION:We are reaching out to you during a time of urgent need. On June 18\, 2024\, the Surma River flooded the Sylhet region\, causing widespread devastation. The river flowed 131 cm above the danger level at Kanaighat and 25 cm above at Sylhet city\, leading to severe flooding across 864 villages. In Sylhet alone\, approximately 371\,000 people are stranded\, and many have lost their homes and livelihoods. \nAmong the hardest-hit areas is Purba Muria in Beanibazar. The people here are in dire need of our support. Thousands are facing severe food shortages\, with little to no access to basic necessities. Despite their resilience\, they cannot face this disaster alone. \nOur Goal: To Provide Immediate Food Relief\nEvent Details:\n\nEvent: Distribution of food items among the flood victims of Sylhet\nDate: July 21\, 2024\nLocation: Freedom fighter Dr. Khasruzzaman Chowdhury Library\, Sarpar Bazar\, Purba Muria\, Biyanibazar\, Sylhet.\n\nWe are launching a fundraising campaign to provide essential food supplies to the affected families in Purba Muria.
